THE "YELLOW DOT" PROGRAM

This program is a TRIAD Project to help save lives. The program requires a yellow card, with pertinent personal and health information, to be completed in pencil and stored in the glove     compartment of the car (and it should be updated as needed). The card will also have a recent photo of the program participant. The participant is to affix a “yellow dot” decal on the inside rear windshield of the car on the driver’s side. This way, in the event of an emergency, first responders can identify the vehicle as a “yellow dot” participant and will know to look inside the glove compartment for pertinent information. If participants sell the car, they must remove the yellow dot sticker.

FILE FOR LIFE PROGRAM

The City Clerk's office has teamed up with Steve Balish from Homer Glen for the File for Life Program.  Information cards are available in the Water Department, along with red pocket cases.

DONATION OF OLD CELL PHONES

FREE CELL PHONES FOR SENIOR CITIZENS 65 YEARS OR OLDER

The City of Lockport has free cell phones available for Senior Citizens 65 years of age and older.  The use of the cell phone is for emergencies only.  For example, if a senior citizen was outside in the yard doing yard work, in the basement, in the car, or anywhere at all, and needed medical assistance right away, they would be able to dial 9-1-1 on the cell phone to report their medical emergency.  Please contact Donna Tadey at (815) 838-0549, ext. 2121 for further information.
