Lockport Stimulus Funding Submittal

(REQUESTED OVER $80 MILLION)

To help fund some of our infrastructure improvements, the City has submitted formal requests for stimulus funding through the Will County Governmental League, State Senator Bond's Infrastructure Task Force and State Senator Wilhelmi's office. A shorter list of projects 'ready for construction' was also sent to Metropolitan Mayor's Caucus. While the City submitted a comprehensive list of projects through appropriate channels, there are no guarantees that funding will be received. In total, the City requested over $80 million of Stimulus money in January 2009.
